보급형 제온, 인텔 제온 E-2100 프로세서 출시

인텔은 새로운 제온 ® E-2100 프로세서를 출시한다고 발표했다. Intel Xeon E 프로세서의 후속 버전인 Intel Xeon E 프로세서는 안정성과 경제성을 위해 최적화 된 플랫폼으로 보급형 워크 스테이션 용으로 설계됐다.

Intel Xeon E-2100 프로세서는 보급형 워크 스테이션을 겨냥한 6코어 프로세서로 두 개의 추가 코어와 더 높은 싱글 코어 터보 주파수를 결합하면 이전의 4코어 엔트리 워크 스테이션 프로세서와 비교해 벤치마크 전반에 걸쳐 성능이 향상되고 있다. 또한 ECC (Error Correcting Code) 메모리를 지원한다.
